Jules Morris in a navy dress and pearls inside the Haslam College of Business

I’m an Assistant Professor of Practice at the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business, where I teach digital marketing and visual marketing. I also teach human-centered leadership and design in the Smith GLS Honors program. I teach in several of Haslam’s MBA programs as well.

Before the classroom, I spent three decades in marketing and brand strategy. At WBIR, Knoxville’s NBC affiliate, I was Director of Marketing and Community Relations and Executive Producer of the Heartland Series. Eighteen years ago I founded BombDiggity, LLC as a marketing and design agency. It has since grown into a human-centered design practice focused on leadership, change and transitions. That work taught me that the best brands are built on stories people want to share.

My doctoral research, Playing the Creative Advantage: Creative Role Identity of Female Leaders in Sports Media Marketing, looks at how seeing yourself as creative changes the way you lead.

My husband and co-collaborator, Lane Morris, PhD, and I co-founded Sweet BombDiggity Farms, a content brand and life-design platform. We’re also finishing a book, Designing What’s Next: A Flourishing Life at Any Age.
